Date:

According to a report by a news magazine, Ukraine has claimed that Russia has suffered significant losses, with nearly 117,000 troops eliminated since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022. This figure surpasses the total number of American casualties in World War I.
Recent data released by Ukraine’s Armed Forces indicates that 116,950 enemy troops have been neutralized since February 24. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine shared these statistics on Twitter, highlighting the extensive losses incurred by Russia during its war on Ukraine.
In addition to troop casualties, Ukraine reported the destruction of numerous Russian military assets, including 3,121 tanks, 4,877 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 2,104 artillery systems.
The toll of Russian casualties now exceeds the number of American soldiers killed in the Korean War, which amounted to 36,516. Notably, the casualties also surpass those of the Vietnam War, where 58,220 Americans lost their lives.
In a tragic incident unrelated to military combat, Ukraine experienced a helicopter crash near a kindergarten outside Kyiv on January 18. The crash claimed the lives of 18 people, including Ukraine’s interior minister, Denys Monastyrsky, and his first deputy, Yevgeniy Yenin. The incident occurred in Brovary, a town near Kyiv that witnessed intense fighting during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The crash resulted in 29 individuals sustaining injuries, including 15 children, who are receiving necessary assistance.
