Trump Warns Iran of “Total Destruction” if Retaliation Continues

Date:

In his most aggressive rhetoric to date, President Donald Trump has warned Tehran that any further retaliation would lead to the total destruction of the nation. Trump stated that the Iranian regime has “shot everything they have” and is currently defenseless against U.S.-Israeli air power. He described the current state of the war as “very complete, pretty much.”
The President’s comments followed the inauguration of Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader, a choice Trump called a “big mistake.” Trump argued that the hereditary transition is a sign of a failing state and that the Iranian people deserve a better future. He reiterated that the U.S. has no message for the new leader other than a warning to stay out of the global economy’s way.
Military operations have focused on destroying Iran’s missile launchers, with Trump claiming that 80% of them have already been neutralized. He noted that the U.S. military is “more determined than ever” to achieve an ultimate victory. The President also highlighted that the U.S. was forced into the “excursion” to prevent an imminent Iranian attack on the entire Middle East.
The impact on the global energy market has been severe, with a 70% reduction in traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump has threatened an attack of “incalculable” size if Iran tries to block the passage of oil tankers. He also suggested that the U.S. might target Iran’s electrical grid if the regime continues to threaten global trade.
As the conflict moves into its second week, the death toll in Iran has surpassed 1,200 people, according to local officials. Trump’s narrative focuses on the “amazing” achievements of the American and Israeli forces in a very short amount of time. The world remains on edge as the President pushes for a final, decisive end to the conflict.
