Exports in Danger: Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Platforms in the Caspian

Date:

Russia’s oil exports are in danger as Ukraine strikes Russian oil platforms in the Caspian Sea. The V. Filanovsky, Yuri Korchagin, and Valery Grayfe platforms were hit. These Lukoil assets are vital for Russia’s economy. The strike aims to cut off the funds that support the Russian military by reducing the volume of oil available for sale.
The platforms have been targeted since December. Damage assessment is ongoing. Lukoil has not commented. This economic warfare is combined with strikes on military logistics. The disruption of oil exports would be a major blow to the Russian budget, which relies heavily on energy revenue.
In Luhansk, a Buk-M3 air defense system was destroyed. This strike weakens Russian defenses in the occupied region. A warehouse in Kherson was also hit, disrupting supplies. These strikes on military targets complement the economic warfare campaign.
The energy war continues with attacks on infrastructure. Russia targets Ukrainian power plants, while Ukraine hits Russian oil assets. This strategy aims to inflict maximum economic damage and force the enemy to negotiate or retreat.
A drone attack on Voronezh killed one person and injured four. 17 drones were neutralized. This strike on Russian territory demonstrates Ukraine’s reach and ability to disrupt life in major Russian cities.
