Trump: Advanced Tech Halted Major Post-WWII Military Strike on Iran During Talks

Date:

President Donald Trump revealed that the United States had planned a significant military strike against Iran, described as the “biggest attack since World War II.” However, this action was paused following appeals from Gulf nations and Iran itself, urging for diplomatic discussions to be given a chance. Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump mentioned that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Iran had all requested Washington to delay military measures, expressing optimism about reaching a diplomatic agreement.

The potential agreement, according to President Trump, would prioritize the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and focus on the denuclearization of Iran. These diplomatic efforts have led the US to temporarily hold back on any military assault, as negotiations are currently underway. Trump emphasized his preference for resolving the situation through diplomacy rather than resorting to military intervention, highlighting his intent to observe the progress of ongoing talks.

In a statement on Truth Social, Trump outlined conditions for any forthcoming agreement, insisting that it must include the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the cessation of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. While the planned military action has been put on hold for now, Trump noted that this decision hinges on the success of the diplomatic negotiations.

The President’s decision marks a moment of potential de-escalation in a tense situation, as the involved parties seek a peaceful resolution that addresses the critical issues at hand. This development underscores Trump’s strategic choice to prioritize dialogue and diplomacy, keeping military options on standby as negotiations continue.
