Google’s New AI: From Text File to Presentation Instantly

Date:

Google has announced a significant update to its AI tools, introducing a feature that can create an entire presentation from a text file. The new functionality in Gemini Canvas allows users to upload a document or report and have the AI instantly generate a structured, themed Google Slides deck.
This tool is a massive time-saver. The AI reads and understands your file, then intelligently designs a presentation based on it. It automatically generates titles, adds section breaks for different topics, and even includes relevant visuals to enhance the slides.
This new capability lives inside Gemini’s Canvas mode, Google’s AI-powered workspace for writing and brainstorming. Now, this space not only helps you refine your ideas in text but can also transform them into a visual format ready for meetings or lectures.
This update could redefine how quickly professionals and students move from research to presentation. By automating the initial design, Gemini does the heavy lifting, allowing users to focus on their message.
The feature is already rolling out globally to both personal Google accounts and Workspace users. Early reports from users indicate that Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers are receiving the update first, with a wider rollout for free users planned soon.
